株式会社日本HP（本社：東京都江東区、代表取締役社長執行役員：岡隆史）は、マイクロソフトのWindows Mixed Realityに対応するヘッドセット「HP Windows Mixed Reality Headset（コントローラー付き）」を発表した。

新製品は、日本HPのオンラインストアHP Directplus（ http://www.hp.com/jp/directplus_personal ）およびHP Directplusコールセンターで、販売が開始される。

「HP Windows Mixed Reality Headset（コントローラー付き）」は、Windows 10の最新バージョンWindows 10 Fall Creators Updateで標準サポートされるVR（Virtual Reality：仮想現実）体験機能であるMixed Realityを利用するためのヘッドセットとコントローラーのセットだ。

PC（＊1）とヘッドセットをケーブル1本で接続するだけの簡単なセットアップと購入しやすい価格により、手軽なVR体験を実現している。

利用者はヘッドセット内の2つのディスプレイに投影されるVRの世界を体験しながら、付属の2つのコントローラーを使って様々なアクションを操作することが可能。

ゲーミングやエンターテインメント、宇宙や旅行などの擬似体験や迫力のあるVR体験のほか、ヘッドセット内の目の前に広がる仮想的な大画面で動画を視聴したり、SNSを利用することもできる。

「HP Windows Mixed Reality Headset（コントローラー付き）」はヘッドバンドに緩衝用のパッドや長さ調節用のノブを装備し、快適な装着感も特長となっている。
