クラスター株式会社と近鉄不動産株式会社・地方独立行政法人天王寺動物園の3社で共同製作した「バーチャル天王寺動物園」が、同社が運営する国内最大級のメタバースプラットフォーム「cluster」内に、2024年7月18日（木）10時よりオープンしています。

ついにオープン！「バーチャル天王寺動物園」とは？

先月24日に第1報として紹介した「バーチャル天王寺動物園」が、今月18日の午前10時より「cluster」内にオープンしています。

「バーチャル天王寺動物園」は、スマホやPC、VR機器などさまざまなデバイスに対応してるメタバースプラットフォーム「cluster」内に構築されているワールドの一つで、「cluster」のアプリをダウンロードの上、アカウント登録をしているユーザーであれば、誰でも無料で楽しむことができるVR空間上の動物園です。

本ワールドには、すでにリアルの天王寺動物園が大好きなユーザーだけでなく、まだリアルの天王寺動物園に訪れたことがないユーザーも楽しむことができるようなギミックが複数しかけられており、猛暑が予想されている今夏、親子や友達はもちろん、一人でも”涼しい室内からいつでも気軽にアクセスし、動物園を楽しむことができる”という特徴を有しています。

さらに、”リアルの天王寺動物園に寄附ができる仕組み”も導入されており、リアルとバーチャルが一体となって発展に貢献できる仕様となっています。

「バーチャル天王寺動物園」では岩や水辺を再現した展示スペースや3Dモデルを活用した360度視点からの生態観察コーナーを設けるなど、リアル天王寺動物園のアフリカ・サバンナゾーンをもとにVR空間が構築されています。

そして、本ワールドの動物たちには

・本物の動物たちの鳴き声が実装されている

・制作陣のこだわりが詰まった動物たちの動きが再現されている

という特徴があり、じっくりと観察していると、動物たちの動きの中から関係性やストーリーが浮かび上がり、子どもから大人まで誰もが楽しみながら学ぶことができる機会を提供することに成功しています。

ターレにのって至近距離から動物が観察できる

本ワールド内を移動するための乗り物として『ターレ（※空を飛ぶ乗り物）』が用意されています。

この『ターレ』に乗ると園内を自在に飛び回ることができるため、リアルでは実現することが難しい至近距離や上空からなど自由な角度からの動物観察を楽しむことができます。

なお、『ターレ』は”動物園で実際に飼育員さんが使用しているもの”を模したデザインとなっているため、飼育員さんになったような気持ちで園内を回る体験をすることもできます。

親子・友達・恋人と回ることができる

「cluster」はスマホ、タブレット、PC、VR機器とあらゆるデバイスからアクセスできるので、遠く離れた友人や、親子でも同時にログインして一緒に楽しむことも可能なだけでなく、『プライベートモード』を活用すると、動物園を自分たちだけで貸し切ったかのような気分で楽しむこともできる仕様に仕上がっています。

目指せ動物博士！ここにしかない動物クイズ

本ワールドには『天王寺動物園から提供された独自のおもしろクイズ』が実装されており、クイズを楽しみながら動物博士が目指せるという、夏休みの自由研究にもピッタリな仕掛けが搭載されています。

本ワールド内に構築されている「TENNOJI Zoo Store」では、アバターが装着可能な「動物のアクセサリー」や「クラフトアイテム」が販売されており、販売に伴う収益は天王寺動物園の運営や動物福祉に役立てるため、天王寺動物園に全額寄附される仕組みが導入されています。

これらのアイテムは天王寺動物園と共同で制作されており、寄附をしたユーザーには、ワールド内で撮影した写真を集め、モザイクアートとして展示する参加型のアートギミックへの参加も準備されています。

「バーチャル天王寺動物園」ワールドには、購入したアイテムやアイスクリームをもって撮影できる写真撮影用のフォトパネルも設置されているので、画像をSNSでシェアするという楽しみ方もできます。
