トヨタ紡織は、中国における自動車用フィルター製品等の事業拡大に対応できる生産体制を整備するため、天津豊田紡汽車部件（中国、天津市）を新工場に移転し、10月に生産を開始した。

　トヨタ紡織の新工場は、従来の1.5倍の生産エリアを確保して今後の受注拡大に対応するとともに、樹脂成型設備を新規導入することで、エアクリーナーを含む吸気系構成部品の生産から完成品までの一貫生産体制を整え、競争力強化を図る。また、人と環境に優しい工場を目指して、太陽光発電パネルの設置や、構内に雨水吸収コンクリートを使用するなど天津開発区でははじめて豪雨時の雨水排出抑制対策をしている。
