*16:57JST 日本アジア投資---モーベルファームが「地方銀行フードセレクション2023」出展、養父市の植物工場が黒字化達成事業拡大へ日本アジア投資<8518>は、食の展示商談会「地方銀行フードセレクション2023」に協賛したことを発表。同展示商談会には、同社の戦略投資先企業であり2023年8月に兵庫県養父(やぶ)市の植物工場の黒字化を達成したモーベルファームが、但馬銀行からの推薦を受けて出展した。

モーベルファームの運営する完全人工光型の工場は、LEDライトの光や、温度、水、養分など、野菜の生育環境をコントロールして、季節や天候を問わず均一の品質で安定した量の野菜を生産する。同社では、将来植物工場のレタスの市場規模は約2000億円程度まで拡大すると想定しており、市場の成長性に期待している。今後は、2つの工場で安定した大量生産を実現した知見を活かし、新たな工場の建設または既設の工場の取得により最大の消費地である関東地区に進出し、現在の顧客を中心に供給体制を構築することを目指している。
