民進・玉木氏は「橋下徹氏は「国から相当の圧力があった」とテレビ番組で述べたが、昨日の番組で松井一郎知事から直接説明を伺ったが、近畿財務局が大阪府を訪れたのは2回だけで、議事録を見ても通常の事務的なやりとり。「相当の圧力」などなかったのではないか。」とツイート。（3/16）

玉木氏が公表した「森友学園に関する私学課と近畿財務局との協議経過」には平成25年9月、10月、11月における財務省近畿財務局と大阪府の私学・大学課との協議記録が記されており、内容は業務的な報告や事実確認程度にとどまっている。この書面での記録を見る限り、圧力を受けている印象は全くない。橋下徹氏が指摘するような「国からの相当の圧力」があったとすれば、財務省近畿財務局と大阪府の私学・大学課の協議当事者が関知していない別の関係者が絡んでいる可能性がある。
