Lighthouse StudioはGMO TECHと提携し、2024年11月から開始されるアプリ外課金事業に参入します。新たなサービス「GMO アプリ外課金」を導入し、「神ゲー攻略」などのゲームメディアで利用者に向けたアイテム購入キャンペーンを開催予定です。「神ゲー攻略」のユーザーは、これを通じてお得にゲームアイテムを入手できるようになります。アプリ外課金は低コストで、これまでアプリストアを介した課金に依存していた市場に変革をもたらします。法規制の変更に伴って、新たな決済方法が認められるようになり、アプリビジネスの新たな可能性が開かれました。Lighthouse Studioは引き続き、メディア事業やインフルエンサーマーケティングを通じて従来の課金方法を革新し、ゲーム市場の活性化に努めています。

株式会社CARTA HOLDINGSのグループ会社で、ゲームメディア「神ゲー攻略」などを運営する株式会社Lighthouse Studio(代表取締役：加藤友幸、以下「Lighthouse Studio」)は、GMO TECH株式会社(代表取締役社長CEO：鈴木明人、以下「GMO TECH」)が、2024年11月27日(水)より開始予定のアプリ外課金事業において、共同推進することに合意いたしました。今後ゲームメディア「神ゲー攻略」では、GMO TECHが開始するアプリ外課金サービス「GMO アプリ外課金」を導入し、ゲーム内アイテムをお得に購入できるキャンペーンや特典など、ユーザーにとって有益なサービスの提供を図り、アプリ外課金サービスの認知度向上と、ゲームを中心としたアプリ市場の活性化に取り組んでまいります。

2024年6月、「スマートフォンにおいて利用される特定ソフトウェアに係る競争の促進に関する法律」が成立し、スマホゲーム・アプリに対する課金の決済環境は、大きな転換期を迎えています。これまでは、アプリストアを介して課金の決済を行う(アプリ内課金)必要がありましたが、今後は、外部のWebサイトで、様々な方法で課金の決済を行うこと(アプリ外課金)が認められるようになりました。アプリ外課金は、アプリ内課金と比べてアプリ事業者の手数料負担が低いため、割引キャンペーンなど、ユーザーにとっても有益なサービスを提供することが可能になります。
