アイフィスコレクション

2013年にスタートした「リバティロンドン」は、ロンドンのランドマークのひとつでもあるリバティ百貨店と、膨大な織物の歴史に基づいて作られたプレミアム・ライフスタイル・ブランドです。

英国リバティ社は、創業者のアーサー・ラセンビィ・リバティ氏が1862年のロンドン万博で日本の美術工芸品と出会い、その類まれな美しさに魅了された彼がロンドンに小さな美術工芸品を紹介するお店を開いたことから始まります。アーサーの店は瞬く間に人気となり、芸術家などが集まる店となりました。そんな創業初期から取り扱っていた東洋の織物や装飾品からインスピレーションを受けた「リバティロンドン」は、バッグや革小物、スカーフ、ホームコレクションなどのアイテムが揃います。

「リバティロンドン」のアイテムを彩る印象的なプリントデザインは、リバティプリントとしても永く愛されている「アイアンシ」を現代的な解釈で幾何学的なデザインへと再構築した「アイフィス」です。この「アイフィス」をモノグラムで使用したプリントデザインは、2014年以降バッグなどにも使われ人気を博しています。

リバティ百貨店を取り巻く通りの名を冠したバッグコレクションの中でも最も人気なのは「リトルマールボロトートバッグ」。イタリアでプリントされたコットンリネンキャンバスをポリウレタンでコーティングしたキャンバストートは、軽さと程よいサイズ感が日常使いにお薦めです。

またリバティ社の歴史からも欠かせないシルクは、スカーフやスリープウェアとしてラインアップ。イタリアのコモで熟練した職人により印刷されるシルクスカーフには、「アイアンシ」や「ヘラ」など、リバティ社を代表するプリントデザインはもちろん、毎シーズン発表されるモダンなデザインのコレクションが揃います。
