250年の時を超え、英国のエレガンスを担い発信してきたウェッジウッドより、イギリスらしさがあふれる新作テーブルウェアがこの春発売となります。イングリッシュガーデンをテーマにデザインされた『ベルローズ』には、「美しいバラ」を意味する名の通り、可憐なバラがフェミニンかつ優雅に描かれています。

イギリスの国花であり英国のシンボルとしても愛されるバラは、イングリッシュガーデンにおいても主役として輝きを放つ存在です。バラと共にあしらわれているのはイングリッシュ・ウォールフラワー(エリシマム)で、こちらも英国の庭園で人気の高いお花です。また、花々の横に描かれるリーフ模様には電子レンジでも使用可能な落ち着いた金色のマイカ(雲母)が使用され、見た目の華やかさと実用性を兼ね備えています。ローレルの葉を象ったフレッシュグリーンの縁模様は、全体を優しく軽やかにまとめ上げると同時に、自然を愛し生活に取り入れようとする英国人らしさも感じさせます。
