花の季節と言えばやはり春を連想しますが、夏にも楽しめる旬の花があります！ひまわりやラベンダー、ハイビスカスなど、夏を代表する美しい花たち。
夏のレジャーや観光、いつものように海やプール、バーベキューも楽しくていいけれど、今年は夏の花を愛でに行ってみませんか？

明野のひまわり畑

山梨県北杜市のある、明野ひまわり畑。そこに植えられているひまわりの数は、約60万本という圧倒的なスケールです。日照時間が日本一という自然の恵みが生み出したこの美しい景色は、映画のロケ地としても使用されています。

7月21日から8月19日まで、サンフラワーフェス2018が開催されます。ひまわりの種がトッピングされた、名物のひまわりソフトクリームもぜひ味わいたいですね。

富良野のラベンダー畑

ラベンダーと言えば、真っ先に浮かぶのが有名な北海道富良野のラベンダー畑です。世界的にも有名なこの場所には、毎年絶景を見るために多くの人が訪れます。中でも人気が高いのが、ラベンダーの聖地と言われる“ファーム富田”。ラベンダー畑を観光地として確立した先駆者です。

一般的に5月から6月が見頃のラベンダー。富良野のラベンダー畑では、7月上旬から下旬にかけて見頃を迎えます。

とっとり花回廊ハイビスカス展

南国の花といえばやっぱりハイビスカス。そんなハイビスカスを楽しめるのが、鳥取県西伯郡にある“とっとり花回廊”です。8月上旬から9月にかけて、ハイビスカス展を開催します。

100種類100鉢にもおよぶ、赤や白、黄色やピンクなどのカラフルなハイビスカスが彩り豊か♪ ヤシの木と並んで咲くハイビスカスは、まるで南の島に来たような南国ムード満点な雰囲気を楽しめますよ。

法金剛寺の蓮の花

蓮の名所として名高い京都の“法金剛寺”。7月から8月にかけ、約90種類の蓮が咲き美しい光景が広がります。早朝に花を咲かせる蓮。見頃の時期に合わせ、法金剛寺では「観蓮会」と銘打ち、朝の7時に開門。

花の観賞に適した時間は、午前中の7時から9時です。午後には美しい姿を見ることはできないので、涼しい時間にぜひ観賞してみてはいかがでしょう。

夏井ヶ浜はまゆう公園

平成24年にオープンした“夏井ヶ浜はまゆう公園”は、はまゆうの一大群生地。7月下旬から8月にかけて、青い海をバックにはまゆうの白い花が咲き乱れます。

「恋人の聖地」として認定され、展望エリアにある“響愛の鐘”は下から覗くと“愛”の文字が刻まれています。展望園地の敷石には“ハート型の石”が隠されている、ロマンティックなスポットです。
