1月13日（金）〜15日（日）に千葉・幕張メッセで開催される「東京オートサロン2023」にて、日産・自動車大学校は愛知校、京都校の学生が制作した2台のカスタマイズカーを披露する。

新型フェアレディZベースのSUV「フェアレディX」と、5代目セレナをベースとしたキャンパー仕様を出品

日産・自動車大学校では、ボディダメージを美しく復元する技術や完成度の高いボディカスタマイズを目指す、板金・塗装の技術を学べるコースを用意しており、今回の出展車両はそのコースに通う学生たちが制作したもの。2020年の東京オートサロン出展以来、毎年名誉ある賞を受賞し、学生活動の励みになっている。制作期間は愛知校が2.5カ月、京都校は5カ月と、短期間のなかで試行錯誤しながらも授業の集大成として仕上げたカスタマイズカーだ。

「フェアレディX」（日産京都自動車大学校）

●自動車整備・カスタマイズ科4年生制作
●車両コンセプト：「優雅で豊かな人生」
世の中のすべての家族を大切にするお父さんに捧げたいクルマ。昨年、発表された新型フェアレディZが話題になるなか、「もし、SUVがあればどんな姿になるのだろう？」という学生の発想から制作を開始。ベースのムラーノとフェアレディでは体高やボディラインが異なるが、フェンダーの形状や体高を合わせた美しいデザインにするため、クラス全員でアイデアを出し合った。ボディカラーもコンセプトモデルで発表された「カスタマイズドプロト」のオレンジのカラーを再現し、外装のパーツも自然な形で新型Zに近づくようにFRPなどで成形。さらに「Z」人気に火をつけたい！という想いをこめた自信作だ。

「セレナもくもくキャンパー」（日産愛知自動車大学校）

●自動車整備・カーボディ―マスター科3年生制作
●車両コンセプト：「1人で休日を最大限に楽しめるクルマ」
忙しい毎日を送る大人の男性が、休日に都会の喧騒や日常の仕事から解放され、心ゆくまで自分でいられる大切な時間を一緒に過ごす相棒。どこにでもすぐに行ける、キャンプをすぐに楽しめる、自然を満喫しながら「遊び・味わい・眠る」を存分に楽しめるクルマを、学生が自由な発想で具現化した。ベースは5代目セレナ（C27型）で、大人の男性から人気のあるY33型セドリックを基調としたフロント、跳ね上げ式にしたサイドドア、超大型ガラス張りルーフ、エアコン吹き出し口の風の流れを逆転させた、車内換気システムの大幅変更など、板金塗装の技術を駆使した車両だ。
