新型iPhone7とともにApple Watchの次世代型『Apple Watch Series 2」が発表され、更にスポーツシーンに最適なNIKEとのコラボレーションモデル『Apple Watch Nike+（アップルウォッチナイキプラス）』も同時発表されました。

『Apple Watch Nike+（アップルウォッチナイキプラス）』はGPSを搭載し、ランニングやウォーキングのペース、距離、ルートを計測出来るほか、これまでのApple Watchよりも画面を明るくすることで屋外での利用でも文字盤の表示が簡単に読み取れるようになっているようです。

更に50mまでの耐水性能も備え、プールやトライアスロンでの利用も可能になるほか、オリジナルのApple Watchスポーツバンドと同じく、耐久性と軽量性を兼ね備えたフルオロエラストマーで作られたNikeオリジナルのスポーツバンド仕様に。スポーツ時でも快適に装着できる軽量性と通気性を考慮し作られているとのこと。（※耐水性能はNike+以外のモデルでも50mあります）

価格はApple Watch Series 2の最低グレードのモデルよりやや高い、￥37,800～となります。

2種類のカラーリングのアルミニウムケースそれぞれに異なるカラーリングの2タイプのバンドを備え4種類、ケースの大きさは通常モデルと同じく38mmケース、42mmケースの2種類を用意し、全8タイプの販売となります。

新型iPhone7と同じく、9月9日より予約受付開始となります。
