TM NETWORK、ユニット名のTMは小室哲哉考案の東京都「多摩」が由来／アラカルト

TM NETWORKは結成から40周年を迎え、記念ブルーレイBOX「The Force－40th Anniversary Edition－」を12月18日に発売します。このユニットは、小室哲哉、宇都宮隆、木根尚登によるもので、『GET WILD』の大ヒットで知られています。この曲は、30周年を記念したアルバムで36の異なるバージョンが収録され、ギネス記録に認定されました。彼らの音楽は累積再生数が1億回を超え、音楽シーンでの影響力を示しています。さらに、88年には「CAROL」というコンセプト・アルバムをリリースし、ミュージカルとライブを融合させたコンサートで観客を魅了しました。ユニット名の「TM」は出身地の東京・多摩地域に由来しています。

今年4月、デビュー40周年を迎えたTM NETWORK。12日18日に40周年記念ブルーレイBOX「The Force　－40th Anniversary Edition－」を発売する。

▼CAROL　シングル「GET WILD」のヒット後、88年にコンセプト・アルバム「CAROL」を発売。ミュージカルと音楽ライブを融合させたようなコンサートで話題に。木根が原作の小説やアニメなども制作されメディアミックスが展開された。

▼TAMA NETWORK　ユニット名のTMはメンバーのホームタウン東京都多摩地域の「多摩」が由来。小室が考案したが、レコード会社などが難色を示したため公式にはタイムマシン（Time Machine）の略ということになった。
