株式会社ドワンゴは、マイクロソフト社のMRヘッドマウントディスプレイ「Microsoft HoloLens」を利用した、教育・セミナー・ライブイベントなどに特化した同期コンテンツ配信システム「DAHLES」を開発したと発表し、第一弾として、4月5日（水）に行われるN高等学校の入学式で導入される。

教育の可能性を広げる多人数参加型のMR空間共有

DAHLESでは、HoloLensが標準で提供するシェアリング機能にはない、「１対多人数」型、大空間での多人数利用に特化した独自の制御を行っており、多人数での空間共有を安定的に行うことが可能になるという。

これにより、特に教育分野において、学校の教室といった場で大人数の生徒たちが一斉に、MR体験を共有でき、それまで導入が難しかった立体模型などを活用した授業も、データの追加だけで実施可能となる。

また、没入型のVRヘッドマウントディスプレイと異なり、HoloLensは視界を遮ることなく装着した状態で現実の周囲や自分の手元が見えるので、３D映像の授業を体感しながらノートを取ることも可能になる。

この機能を利用する事で、リアルタイムの遠隔授業や、その模様を記録しておくことで、教室という実空間を使ったタイムシフト授業など、対面教育と通信教育のメリットが活きた新しい教育のかたちを生み出すことができるとコメントされている。

●会場：ニコファーレ（東京・六本木）、沖縄伊計本校（沖縄・うるま市）
