コロプラ初のVRオンライン対戦可能なテニスゲーム、「VR Tennis Online」。

どんなゲームなのか、実際にプレイしてみた。

VR Tennis Onlineとは？

ド派手な必殺ショットとオンライン対戦が特徴のテニスゲームだ。

シングルスだけでなく、ダブルスもできるのが面白い。

VRだから、没入感が高い

コントローラーの振動で、ボールを打つのが楽しくなる。

三人称視点で、キャラクターを操作しながらも首を動かして直感的にボールを目で追えるのが良い。

VR Tennis Onlineの遊び方

ゲームを起動すると、テニスコートのタイトル画面が現れ、ボタンを押すとモード選択画面に。

まずはチュートリアルがオススメだ！遊び方を丁寧に教えてくれる。

操作方法

打つ方向を操作できたり、打ち方が4種類だったりと奥が深い。

実際の試合のような駆け引きが楽しめる。

エキシビジョンモード

このモードでは、自分とCPUのキャラクターと必殺技とを好きに設定して戦うことができる。

勿論、設定がめんどくさい時はランダムで遊ぶことも可能。

トーナメントモード

CPUと戦い、トーナメント形式で勝ち進んでいく。

シングルスのみのモードだが、勝利していくことで使える必殺技が開放される。

オンラインモード

全国のプレイヤーとオンラインで対戦ができるモード。

勝敗はランキングに反映される。最強を目指そう。

それぞれの選手の特徴

性能の異なる8人のキャラクターを使用できる。

選手のタイプはREACH・TECHNIQUE・SPEEDの三種類。

どのタイプがどんな性能なのかは判明していない。

REACHタイプの選手

メインキャラクターの爽やかイケメンHARUTO、ちょっとワルっぽい雰囲気のGAIA、

大きくて筋肉がすごいTITANの三人。全員男だ。

おそらく、守備範囲が他のタイプのキャラクターよりも広いのだろう。

TECHNIQUEタイプの選手

ヒロインポジションの美女SATSUKI、露出度高めのナイスバディANITA、

ロボットのMERCURYと、女性（？）三人。

性能は、必殺技がたまるのがはやいような気がする。

SPEEDタイプの選手

tennis4

忍っぽいENZO、ロリータ系ファッションのKOGANEの二人。

移動速度か攻撃速度が速いのだと予想。

必殺技はどんなものがあるの？

必殺技は、全部で12種類。

前述した通り、トーナメントに勝ち進むことで開放されていく。

どれも派手な演出でかっこよく、超人になった気分だ。

最初から使える2つの必殺技を紹介！

トルネードショット

相手プレイヤーの周囲に激しい竜巻を放つ必殺ショット。

視界が遮られて、ボールを探すのが難しい。

スネークショット

くねくねと蛇のような軌道で進む必殺ショット。

どこにボールが落ちるのかわからず、打ち返すのが難しい。

実際にオンラインで遊んでみた

実際にオンラインで遊んでみたが、

運が良かったのかすぐに何度か同じプレイヤーとマッチングした。

しかし、発売日とはいえ平日の昼間。

タイミングによってはなかなかマッチングに時間がかかった。

オンライン人口について

オンラインで遊ぶためには、PlayStation®Plusという

有料メンバーシップサービスに登録しなくてはならない。

オンライン人口の少なさについては、そもそもプレイ人口がまだ少ないのか、

平日の昼間だからか、有料サービスだからなのか要因は特定できない。

それなりには遊べるだろうが、いつでも誰かしらいるという保障はなさそうだ。

オンラインで遊ぶのは楽しい

マッチングさえできれば、人相手の駆け引きはとても楽しい。

CPUと戦うよりも手強く、オンライン対戦の醍醐味を味わえる。

駆け引きが楽しめる操作方法で、テニスゲームとしてかなり面白い。

休日のオンライン人口がどのくらい増加するかは未知だが、しばらくは夢中でプレイし続けるプレイヤーが一定数いるだろう。

保険として、プレイしている友人と時間を決めて遊ぶと安心だ。
