VR Inside主催のVRイベント「VRI Meetup Tokyo #1」の出展ブースレポートをお届けします。

サムスン電子ジャパン株式会社

サムスンのスマートフォンと組み合わせてVRコンテンツを楽しめる「Gear VR」や360度撮影できる全方位カメラ「Gear 360」が展示されていました。

Gear VRはサムスンのスマートフォン、Galaxyをはめ込んで使うタイプのVRヘッドマウントディスプレイです。記事執筆時点で国内販売されていてGear VRに対応しているは、Galaxy S6 / Galaxy S6 edge / Galaxy S7 edgeの3機種となっています。

スマートフォンとセットで手軽にVR体験を楽しめるのが特徴です。Go ProやGear 360で撮影した動画をGear VRで視聴することができました。

株式会社サードウェーブデジノス（ドスパラ）

PCショップとして有名なドスパラは、同社のPCブランド「ガレリア」のゲーミングノートPCとHTC Viveを展示していました。

フルカラーLEDでカラフルに発光する筐体やキーボードは、いかにもゲーミングPCといった印象です。モバイル用途には向かないものの、VRゲームをプレイできる性能がこのサイズに収まっているのが魅力です。

ブースでは、ジェットコースターに乗ってコインを取るHTC Viveのゲーム「Prize Rush」を体験プレイできました。コースターが落ちる時の感覚、実体験に近くVRの特徴を引き出しているゲームです。

ドスパラでは日本最大級のVR体験スペース「VRパラダイス」でVRを体験できます。無料で入場できるので、興味がある方はJR秋葉原駅の近くのドスパラ秋葉原店5Fへ。

株式会社ワンダーリーグ

DaydreamとSpectaclesとStructure Sensorが展示されており、実際に手にとって体験できました。

Google PixelとDaydreamで、VRゲームをプレイしました。Googleの最新スマートフォン「Pixel」とVRヘッドマウントディスプレイは、国内未発売なので貴重な体験でした。

Google Daydream View - VR Headset (Slate)(米国並行輸入品)

スマートフォンアプリのSnapchatと連携して利用するサングラス「Spectacles」は、見たままの光景を記録できるのが特徴です。

メガネのヒンジ部分にカメラを搭載しており、ボタンを押すと動画を撮影してSnapchatアプリに保存されます。Google Glassより低機能ながら、安価に購入できるので、敷居が低くくなっています。

日本未発売 Snapchat Spectacles スナップチャットスペクタクルブラック [並行輸入品]

日本初となるVRコントローラー「Vroom」のプロトタイプです。ブレットボード上にモジュールが配置されている状態で、まだ試作感があります。

手を傾けることで向きを変えるもので、Wiiリモコンのような操作感です。スマートフォンとVR HMD、そしてこのコントローラーを組み合わせることで、より没入感があり複雑な操作ができるようになります。

製品化された暁には、右側のような外装になるとのこと。VRが普及する第一歩としてスマートフォンが期待されてる中、その操作性を大きく向上させる製品なので、今後が楽しみです。

株式会社ダズル

開発しているVRゲームを体験プレイできました。スマートフォン向けはGear VR、PC向けはHTC Viveでプレイします。今後は対プラットフォームを拡大していく方針だそうです。

HTC Viveを使ってハンバーガーを作り、制限時間内に提供していく「OneManVurgeR」を体験しました。初めてでも楽しくプレイできて、シンプルながら効率化を突き詰めることでやり込み要素を発見できるという面白いゲームです。

もともとOculus Touch向けに開発していたそうですが、現在はHTC Viveでリリースされています。手で掴むという動作はOculus Touchの方が得意なので、ぜひOculus Touchでのリリースにも期待したいところです。

まとめ

国内未発売のVRデバイスや試作機に触れたり、高価な機材と広めのスペースがないとプレイできないHTC Viveのゲームをプレイできて貴重な体験でした。
