360°カメラ開発メーカーのGiropticは、このほどiPhone対応360°カメラ「Giroptic iO」をリリースした。

iPhone対応360°カメラ Giroptic iO

同カメラは、iPhoneに接続して撮影するアクセサリー型の360°カメラで、360°画像と動画の撮影、さらには360°動画のライブストリーミングも可能だ。

カメラのスペックは、視野角が195°でF値はF/1.8の2個のカメラが実装されているのだが、撮影できる360°画像の画素数は3840 x 1920、360°動画の画素数は1920 x 960でFPS(Frame Per Second:フレームレート)は30である。ちなみに360°動画で最適なFPSは90なので、やや滑らかさに欠ける動画になるかも知れない。

360°ライブストリーミング動画はYouTubeへの配信に対応しており、最近サービスが開始されたFacebookに360°ライブストリーミング動画を配信する360 Facebook Liveに関しては、今後サポートを予定している。

同カメラ対応iOSアプリはまだ開発途中なのだが、同アプリからカメラ撮影および設定ができるようになることが予定されている。

現在は、iPhone版のみ購入可能だが、Android版のリリースも検討されている。

「Giroptic iO」は、本記事下部に記したリンクから行ける公式サイトから購入でき、価格は€249(約¥30,000)だ。ちなみに同社が販売しているスタンドアローン型360°カメラ「360cam」は€499である。
