2022年2月21日（月）に開催された「VARKカンファレンス～VARKのこれまでとこれから～ 2022」にて、エンターテインメント特化型メタバース”VARK”での新機能追加と、今後のライブ予定情報が発表されました。

「VARK」への新機能追加が発表へ

株式会社VARKの運営するエンターテインメント特化型メタバース”VARK”のアプリ内とVARK公式YouTubeチャンネルで開催された「VARKカンファレンス～VARKのこれまでとこれから～ 2022」にて、より多くのエンターテインメント体験を提供するための新機能追加や、

・対応終了機器

・一部機能の停止

・今後の予定

などが発表されています。

その中で、今月22日のメンテナンス明けより、ボイスチャット機能など3つの機能が新たに使用できるようになったことが発表され、またカラオケ施設の第2弾など、今年6月までに順次様々な施設が追加予定になっていることが公開されています。

ボイスチャット機能の実装

ボイスチャット機能では、プレイヤーの距離によって音量が自動調整されるようになっており、また使用したくない場合はON/OFFの切り替えで設定することができます。

エモート機能を導入

この機能では、ボタンひとつで様々な感情表現をすることができ、初期リリース時には10種類のエモートが導入されています。

カラオケ施設第1弾を実装

カラオケ施設第1弾では同時に4人まで利用することが可能で、約900曲が歌い放題となっています。

また第1弾はMeta Quest2からのみ利用することができます。

第2弾は4月リリース

カラオケ施設第2弾は今年4月下旬リリース予定になっており、ここは同時に10人まで利用可能な”カラオケルーム”のような施設になっています。

対応デバイスは、

・Meta Quest2

・Android

・iOS

となるように開発が進められています。

さらなる機能も追加予定

また今年6月までに、現在の広場やドーム・カラオケ施設に、

・イベント施設

・映像施設

・ミニゲームが遊べる施設

などが追加される予定になっています。

一部デバイス対応と一部機能終了

また今回、今年3月1日をもって

「PlayStation VR」

「Meta Quest」

のサポート終了が発表されており、今後は「Meta Quest2」「iOS」「Android」の開発・サポートが進められていきます。

VARKお知らせページ

さらに無料でバーチャルライブを体験できる機能「お試しライブ機能」の停止も発表されており、こちらは今回のライブシステム大規模改修に伴い、正常な動作で提供し続けることが難しいことが理由になっています。

今後のライブ予定も公開

今回演出制作システムの大規模改修によって、ライブ制作期間を短縮することが可能になったことも発表されており、それに伴って今まで月に1～2本の開催となっていたVARKでのバーチャルライブが、3月は毎週開催されます。

まとめ

エンターテインメント特化型メタバース「VARK」にて行われたカンファレンスで、ボイスチャットやエモートなどの新機能追加や今後の予定、また今後のライブ予定も発表されました。

この大規模な改修によって、また更にメタバース空間を没入感たっぷりで楽しめるようになりそうです。
