Pico Technology Japan株式会社は、法人向けスタンドアロンVRデバイス「pico neo 3 pro」の日本国内での発売を、2021年7月下旬より開始することを発表しました。

「pico neo 3 pro」日本でも販売開始へ

2021年7月末に販売開始が予定されている「pico neo 3 pro（ピコネオスリープロ）」は、中国のVRデバイスメーカー・Pico Technologyが開発・販売している6DoFスタンドアロン型VR HMDで、日本では同社の日本法人であるPico Technology Japanが法人向けに販売開始します。

メーカー直販か代理店で購入可能

メーカー直販価格は84,700円[税込]となっており、正規販売代理店でも取り扱いが開始されます。

なお、正規販売代理店経由での販売価格は、各代理店により異なる場合があるので注意が必要です。

単体で使用可能！SNSアカウント連携も不要

「pico neo 3 pro」には米・Qualcomm社のSnapdragon XR2が搭載されており、外部PCや挿し込み用スマホも必要なく、HMDセット単体で使用することができます。

また、煩わしいエンタープライズ契約やSNSアカウントとの連携も不要となっており、購入してアプリをインストールすればすぐに現場で使うことが可能に。

Wi-Fiとの常時接続も要求されないようになっているため、外部から不要・不正なアクセスをされるリスクも低くなっています。

なお、中国で発売されているコンシューマ向けモデル「pico neo 3」の日本発売の予定は今のところされておらず、またアイトラッキングモデル「pico neo 3 pro eye」は後日の販売が予定されています。

さらに前モデルの「pico neo 2」と「pico neo 2 eye」は、現在の在庫限りで販売終了予定となっており、今回販売される「pico neo 3 pro」はXRコンソーシアム会員向けデバイス貸し出しプログラムへも提供される予定になっています。
