360°カメラシリーズInsta360のコンシューマー向けモバイルカメラ「Insta360 ONE」とプロ向けの「Insta360 Pro」がCES 2018でイノベーションアワードを受賞した。

概要

毎年1月にラスベガスで行われている世界最大級のテクノロジーイベント、CES 2018で360°カメラ、「Insta360 ONE」と「Insta360 Pro」がVR/ARカテゴリーでイノベーションアワードを受賞したことがイベントに先駆けて発表された。

Insta 360 Proは文字通りプロ向けの360°カメラで、Insta 360 ONEはよりコンシューマー向けのアクションカメラとされている。

両方ともデザイン、エンジニアリング、ユーザー体験の分野でのイノベーションが評価され、受賞までに至った。

カメラを開発しているInsta360にとって今回の受賞は去年のInsta360 Nanoに続く二度目のCESイノベーションアワード受賞となる。

Insta360 ONE

ONE

「Insta360 ONE」は全てを兼ね備えた4K 360°カメラとして8月に発売されたばかりのInsta360シリーズの中でももっとも新しいバージョンのモバイルカメラだ。

従来のフレームビデオとVRストーリーテーリングの垣根を超える360°カメラというのがコンセプトとなっている。

360°動画と写真を4K（3840×1920@30fps, 2560×1280@60fps）で撮影でき、スタンドアロンカメラとして使用、Bluetoothを使ってのリモートコントロール、スマートフォンのチャージングポートにさし直接コントロールと、3種類のオペレーション方法で、簡単に360°コンテンツが撮影できる。

対応はiPhoneとAndroidの二つだ。

FreeCapture

Insta360 ONEはFreeCapture（フリーキャプチャー）というテクノロジーを使い、簡単にスフィア動画撮影を可能にしている。

FreeCaptureを使えばオリジナルの360°動画をスタンダード1080pフレームビデオに変換することも可能だ。

そして、もちろんそのすべてがスマートフォン上で行うことができる。

FreeCaptureを使った動画撮影はレコードボタンを押し、シーンの全てのアングルをカバーするだけと簡単で、撮影したあとは携帯につなぐだけで、Wi-Fiなど必要なく360°コンテンツを作成できる。

携帯のオンボードジャイロスコープを活用し、360°シーンを携帯のディスプレイを使ってプレビューを見ながら撮影することも可能だ。

従来の動画撮影を同じ動きで360°動画を撮影することができるのがこのFreeCaptureの最大の特徴だ。

新たな機能

Insta360 ONEはモバイルカメラとしての身軽さをのこしつつも他のモバイルカメラにはないプレミアムなスタンドアロン360°カメラとしての新機能もかねそなえている。

オンボードジャイロスコープと使うことで、高いコンテンツの安定をかなえ、どうしてもブレの激しくなってしまうラフな環境でもクオリティを損なうことなく、スムーズでハイクオリティなコンテンツが撮影できる。

この最先端のスタビライゼーションシステムを使うことによって240FPSのスローモーションショットがセルフィースティックを装着するだけで撮影できるなど、様々な環境、シチュエーションでの撮影を可能にした。

SmartTrack機能を使えば、自動的に1080pのフレームビデオをセンターにいるものを認識して撮影していてくれ、撮り逃したと思った瞬間も再生することができる。

Insta360 Pro

Insta360 Proはプロ向けの360°カメラで、アルミニウム製の球型の本体に搭載された6つの魚眼レンズと4つのマイクにより、高画質でダイナミックな360°写真/動画を最大8K（7680×3840）という圧倒的な解像度で撮影できる。

一般的な360°カメラとは違い、自動的にリアルタイムスティッチングが行われるため、撮影の直後に360°写真/動画が作成される。

今までプロのVR撮影で必要になっていた、撮影後に編集ソフトを使用して手動でスティッチングする必要がないので、作業の大幅な効率化が実現できる。

3Dの360°写真/動画や100FPSの360°動画の撮影、VRゴーグルでリアルタイムのモニタリングもでき、もちろんインターネットを使い360°ライブストリーミングを行うことも可能だ。

それぞれ価格はInsta360 ONEが299.9ドル（約34000円）、Insta360 Proは3499ドル（約39万円）
