CM制作を中核とした映像プロダクションである太陽企画株式会社（本社：東京都港区、代表取締役：岩井健二、以下太陽企画）は、HoloLensを使用したMR（Mixed Reality：複合現実）コンテンツ「HOLOBUILDER™」を、VR/AR/MRの新しい表現や体験の研究開発を行う株式会社ホロラボと協働で制作したことを発表した。

両者は、今年1月にMicrosoftから発売されたばかりのHoloLensを使い、企画半月・制作期間１ヶ月で、MRとエンターテインメントを融合したコンテンツとして、日本でいち早くリリースを遂げた。

コンテンツ東京2017で発表した「HOLOBUILDER™」は、初めてHoloLensを体験する人でも簡単に楽しめるように、固有のジェスチャーによる操作を省き、MRの特徴（空間認識・インタラクティブ性）をダイレクトに体験できる設計されている。

プロダクトが描かれた5枚のカードから1枚を選びテーブル上に設置。

HoloLensをかけてスタートのマーカーを見ると、カードから小さな作業員たちが一斉に出現する。

彼らはテーブルにある障害物を認識して、器用に避けながらビル／カメラ／ケーキ／ペットボトル／船をあっという間に作り上げていく。

カードを持ち上げて見ることも、プロダクトに頭を近づければ実際にビルの中やカメラの中を覗くこともできるということだ。

プロダクトやキャラクターを変えれば、さまざまな業種の商品にマッチし、展示などで体験的に商品の仕組み・構造を可視化することが可能になる。

また、よりエンターテインメントに振った体験型イベントなどでの使用も可能だということだ。

太陽企画社では、今後も新しい技術をいち早く取り入れ、これまで培ってきた映像・CG技術を昇華したデジタルエンターテインメントコンテンツを創出していきたいと考えているということだ。
