株式会社アスクは、1台のPCで4台のVRヘッドマウントディスプレイの運用に対応するマルチユーザーVRシステム「AHN-VR4」の取り扱いを開始したことを発表した。

マルチユーザーVRシステム「AHN-VR4」について

「AHN-VR4」は、Pascalアーキテクチャを採用するQuadroグラフィックボードを4基装備したマルチユーザー向けのVRシステムであり、アスク社取り扱い製品であるVIVEビジネスエディションを、最大4台まで独立した運用が実現できる。

同じくアスク社取り扱い製品であるCAVRNUS社製のVR向けコラボレーションツール「CAVRNUS」を用いることで、最大4人まで同じVR空間を共有することができ、スライドショーやドキュメントファイルなどの共有をはじめ、3Dモデルの配置・確認といった直感的な操作を仮想体験することができる、革新的な仮想コラボレーションソリューションが提供されるということだ。

本製品の筐体に、Supermicro社製のSuperServerを採用するほか、Intel Xeon E5-2600 v4シリーズプロセッサ×2、32GB DDR4 ECCメモリ×8、256GB SSD×5、USB 3.0拡張ボード×4をベース構成としており、採用するグラフィックボードを含め、ユーザーの用途に応じたカスタマイズもご相談することができるということだ。
