Jaunt中国地区のジョイントベンチャーであるJaunt ChinaがXIAOMI VRヘッドセット対応でJaunt VRアプリを中国マーケットにリリースした。

アプリリリース時には中国語タイトル、英語タイトルを含む17タイトルが用意され、これから中国国内向けのコンテンツを中心にライブラリーを拡大していく予定だ。

最終的には中国タイトルも国外に配信されるようになり、世界中で楽しめるようになる。

Shanghai Media Group (SMG)とChina Media Capital (CMC)とのジョイントベンチャー、Jaunt ChinaがXIAOMI VRヘッドセット対応のJaunt VRアプリを中国でリリースした。

Jaunt VRアプリは中国では初のパブリックリリースとなり、今後対応するプラットフォームが続々とリリースされる予定だ。

中国で唯一のVRカンパニーとしてハードウェア、ソフトウェア、コンテンツ、アプリケーション開発に力を注いでいる、Jaunt ChinaはハイクオリティなシネマテークVRコンテンツを中国マーケットに提供するためにJaunt VRアプリをリリースした。

メジャーテクノロジーカンパニーのXIAOMIが去年の12月からJaunt Chinaのパートナーになり、今回Jaunt VRアプリがXIAOMI VRヘッドセット対応でリリースされることになった。

Jaunt VRアプリのリリース時には17シネマティックVRタイトルがコンテンツとして用意されている。

最初の中国タイトル「OUR SHANGHAI」は上海ツアーVRコンテンツで、中国で有名なスターアクターのHu Ge氏が上海の街を紹介してくれる。

その他にはブロードウェイのライオンキングをベースにしたディズニータイトルの「”CIRCLE OF LIFE” 360 EXPERIENCE」、映画をベースにした「FIFTY SHADES DARKER: THE MASQUERADE BALL」、トラベルコンテンツの「MACHU PICCHU, THE LOST CITY OF THE INCA」などがある。

コンテンツの充実

コンテンツの中には英語だけで再生されるタイトルもあり、中国語字幕がつく予定だ。

Jaunt Chinaはアプリのために今後も国内外のコンテンツをリリースしていく予定だ。

XIAOMI VRヘッドセットのパブリックプレミアとともに、これらの17タイトルもthe 20th Shanghai International Film Festival（6月17日から26日）で展示されている。

Jaunt ChinaのCEO、James Fong氏コメント:

「VRサポートのモバイル、コンソール、プラットフォームは中国マーケットでも増えています。

そしてこれはVRはメインストリームとなりつつある証ともいえます。

XIAOMIは若いジェネレーションに人気のカンパニーであり、私たちはそのXIAOMIとのコラボレーションが重要だと考えました。

今後はXIAOMIヘッドセットを活かしたVRコンテンツライブラリーを充実されていく予定です。」

Jaunt Chinaはアプリでの特に中国語のタイトルのリリースに力を入れていく予定だ。

さらに、Shanghai Media Group (SMG) とUCCVRが主催するGlobal Creators Community VR VideoコンテストがJaunt Chinaにより開始され、すでにプログラムには200以上のVRタイトルが国内外から提出されている。

その中から選ばれたものがJaunt VRアプリで配信される。

JauntのプレジデントでCEOのGeorge Kliavkoff氏コメント:

Jaunt Chinaの配信チャンネルはオンラインになる予定で、これからは世界中のオーディエンスに配信することができます。」

これにより、英語のコンテンツが中国でも配信できるでけでなく、中国語のコンテンツを英語でJauntアプリに配信することが可能になる。

中国コンテンツをその他の地域で楽しむことができるようになり、世界中で全てのコンテンツがシェアできる。
