三菱重工、台湾高速鉄道の車両基地向けに関連設備の新設・改修工事を受注

三菱重工業は、台湾高速鉄道の左営車両基地における検修庫の増設工事を受注し、軌道・電力設備の設計・供給・据え付けを担当します。この工事は、増加する乗客数に対応するための12編成の増車に伴うものです。台湾高速鉄道は2007年開業以来、累計乗車客数が8億人を超え、現在では年間約7,300万人が利用しています。三菱重工業はこれまでに南港延伸プロジェクトやシステム改修などを手掛けており、その実績が評価されています。今後も交通システムに関するノウハウを活用し、台湾の交通インフラ発展に貢献していく方針です。

東京, 2024年11月29日 - (JCN Newswire) - 三菱重工業は、台灣高速鐡路股份有限公司（台湾高鉄）から、台湾高速鉄道の台湾南部にある左營（Zuoying）車両基地内の検修庫（注1）増設に伴う関連設備の新設・改修工事を受注しました。当社は、軌道・電車線・電力・信号設備の設計、供給、および据え付けを行います。

台湾高速鉄道は、台湾内の交通の根幹を担うインフラ設備として利用されており、2007年の開業時に年間約1,500万人であった乗客数は、2023年には年間約7,300万人と順調に増加し、累計乗車客数が8億人を突破しました。台湾高鉄は、乗客数の増加に対応するため、現在12編成の増車、およびそれに伴い当社が請け負う車両検修設備の拡張を進めています。本工事により、車両運行数の増加が可能となり、台湾における交通利便性の向上、経済のさらなる活性化につながります。

台湾高速鉄道プロジェクトは、2000年に当社を含む日本企業7社のコンソーシアムが受注し、2007年1月に開業しました。当社は開業以降も、南港延伸プロジェクト（注2）やシステム改修等に継続して携わることで、台湾高速鉄道の発展に寄与しており、今回の受注はその実績が高く評価されたものです。
