愛犬が散歩中に吠えた時のしつけ方　「行動範囲を狭くする」

縄張り意識がある犬にとって、散歩の範囲は自分の縄張りです。その意識を理解して、散歩の範囲を狭くしてみましょう。家を出てすぐにおしっこをしている場合は、家の近くは自分の縄張りだと強く思っているということです。おしっこをさせる場所にも工夫をしてみてくださいね。

他の犬に対して警戒心がある為、散歩中他の犬に吠えることになります。できるだけ犬同士が触れ合える時間や場所を作っていきましょう。いきなり他の犬の前に引っ張っていくということはせずに、犬同士に任せてゆっくり時間をかけることが大切ですよ。
他の犬と居るときに、抱っこをして犬の目線を上にしてしまうと、自分の方が偉いと思って余計吠えてしまう場合もあるので、抱っこするタイミングには注意してくださいね。

犬が何かに吠えそうだなというポイントに来た時、飼い主さんが「待て」や「伏せ」の命令を出してあげてください。しっかり命令に従って落ち着いた状態が保てたら、ご褒美をあげましょう。
犬に対して吠えそうな素振りが見えたら、改めて命令を出しながらご褒美を鼻先に持ってきて気をそらすことも効果的です！

他の犬に吠えたり、人や自転車に向かって吠えてしまう犬の場合は、あらかじめ飼い主さんが間に入ることで犬の視界を遮ってあげましょう。飼い主さんが自分と距離を縮めてくれたことで、犬は安心感を得ることも出来るのでおすすめですよ。
犬が吠える対象と、理由をしっかり理解することで対処法、しつけ方法は違ってきます。散歩中にしっかり観察してあげることが何よりも大切です！
